It was a couple of days ago when the Regent Seven Seas Explorer reached another milestone, as she was floated out at its shipyard in Genoa. We now hope to see a great deal more progress, as it is now that a lot of the interior work will start to take shape.
While the ship is not due to enter service until July 2016, that is just 8 months away, and so a lot of work will have to be done between now and then to have her ready to enter service.
We do hope to see increased Regent Seven Seas Explorer progress now she has been floated out of Fincantieri, because while it is all well and good seeing the latest renders, you cannot beat seeing real images.
A bottle of Champagne was smashed against Explorer’s hull to celebrate her being floated out, but this will not be the first time that a bottle of Champagne will be used, as there are going to be hundreds of bottles consumed once she enters service next July.
