Empress of the Seas is all set to return to the Royal Caribbean fleet in 2016 following an extensive refurbishment in the spring. She had been on loan to Pullmantur, but as part of a restructuring program for the Madrid-based cruise line, she will be back.
There are a lot of unknowns though; first of all we do not have any details as to the new Empress of the Seas itineraries. However, there have already been a few suggestions, one of which is the prospect of the old cruise ship sailing to Cuba.
However, there is also the possibility that she could sail to the Norwegian Fjords instead, as Royal Caribbean has limited itineraries in that part of the world.
The ship might be a lot smaller than many other ships in the Royal Caribbean fleet, but there are many cruisers out there that much prefer the smaller, more intimate feel.
