If you are a travel agent then by now you will already know that MSC Book is a new, smart engine for them to book cruises on for customers. We are told that this new service will help to improve the end-user experience, while at the same time making the booking process far quicker. Some agents have said the whole process is often difficulty, but this would also be a thing of the past, as the entire experience will also be a far simpler one.
That’s not all, as the MSC consumer website will also get a much-needed revamp. We have not been told if the revamp applies to just one country, such as the UK, US, Spain, Italy etc., or if it will be all of the cruise line’s websites.
However, this revamp on the consumer side will not happen until later this summer, and so we have to make do with the older one for now, which currently has some great deals running on the UK website.
In other MSC related news; the cruise line has aired its first TV commercial in the US, which is titled In the Summertime. It uses the same music as Mungo Jerry, although re-recorded with lyrics from MSC. It would seem that MSC wants to have a greater presence in the United States, but how will it compete with the big players like Carnival and Royal Caribbean?
