There seems no let up in Royal Caribbean’s relentless pursuit in increasing the size of its fleet. Having already launched two new Quantum-class ships, the Quantum and Anthem of the Seas, and announcing Ovation of the Seas; they are not finished.
The cruise line has now ordered a fourth Quantum-class ship, which will come three years after Ovation, as she is set to enter service in 2019. We are not surprised to see Royal Caribbean add a fourth ship to this new class, as the response has been remarkable.
As for where this upcoming ship will call home that is far too early to say, although we presume it could also be for the Chinese market, just like Ovation.
The Chinese cruise market is set to get very busy in the coming years, and so it makes sense for Royal Caribbean to send a second new ship out there fitted with the latest technology and cruise ship innovations.
