Entertainment boost for Princess Cruises with new musicals

While a majority of people choose a cruise because of the wonderful food, the ability to visit several countries in a short amount of time, and also just to get away from the stresses of everyday life, another reason is to watch some amazing West End quality shows. It is for this reason why we feel you will really start to enjoy the entertainment on Princess Cruises, as the ships are set to get a huge boost with some new musicals.

The reason this is such a big deal is because one of the best in the business has been signed up to compose new musicals for Princess Cruises. The composer in question is Stephen Schwartz, who many of you will know was the composer behind such hit musical as Godspell, Pippin and best of the bunch, Wicked – which just so happens to be our favorite.

Stephen Schwartz has signed a multi-year deal to create four new musicals for Princess Cruises over the next few years, with the first being named Magic to Do.

The new show will debut on the Crown Princess this autumn and will combine magic with some of his most famous work. It will certainly be interesting to see how Schwartz will help to captivate a different audience at sea.

We do have faith that we will get to see some great shows added to the Princess Cruises entertainment schedule, as Stephen Schwartz has been in the business for over 40 years and has won many awards, some of which include four Grammys, and three Academy Awards.
