Around a week and half ago we looked at the possibility that Thomson Cruises were to bring new ships to the fleet, or update some of its current ones. We now have an update to that story, as Thomson is set to modernise its fleet thanks to the acquisition of Splendour of the Seas.
Ok, so we know what you are thinking, this is not exactly modernising when the Royal Caribbean launched this ship back in 1995, but it has received a few refits in that time.
The new ship as it were will enter service for Thompson in 2016, and so will enhance the company’s itinerary, although we have yet to learn where it will be sailing to.
We do not even know what the new Thomson cruise ship will be called, although we do know it will become the largest in the fleet and will boast some great features, such as rock-climbing wall, eight bars and lounges, indoor swimming pool and so much more than any other Thomson cruise ship in the fleet.
One thing is certain though; this will mean even more balcony cabins for Thomson Cruises, and one would presume the new name and 2016 itineraries will become available within the next few months.
