Things are not going well for Princess Cruises, as they have had to cancel yet another Sea Princess Cruise, and that is not the only cruise operator to face problems, as Holland America has had to cancel a 7-night Veendam sailing, much to the dismay of those set to sail on both ships.
It is the former cancellation that we are more interested in because it is not the first time the Seas Princess has had to have a cruise cancelled. Two had to be called-off earlier this month, and now the 14-night cruise to New Zealand had to be cancelled yesterday.
More details can be found on Cruise Critic, but we can tell you that Princess Cruises is to give passengers a full refund, as well as paying all air costs, and any other fees that they may have incurred. They will also get 100 percent off a future cruise.
Holland America was forced to cancel its seven-night Canada and New England cruise on the Veendam due to a technical issue with the propellers. This meant the ship needed to be repaired before she could sail, and so passengers will receive a full refund.
We don not know if they will be given a discount or free Holland America cruise for a future date. Cruise Critic reports that Veendam’s October 4th sailing is set to go ahead at this time.
