Over the past couple of days we’ve been contacted by those representing the Diageo Bartender of the Year 2014 awards, which some of Cruise Ship News readers might remember the event last year. Today, we now know that Celebrity Cruises, Royal Caribbean International, Norwegian Cruise Line, and Princess Cruises have bartenders in the final four.
Now entering the semi-final in this cruise competition to find the World’s Best Cruise Line Bartender, which will deliver a place in the Diageo Reserve World Class. We should also point out that the final four have beaten more than 5,500 cruise line so-called “mixologists”.
The names of the final four include Princess Cruises Carlos F Lintag Jr, Norwegian Cruise Line’s O’Neil Anant James Pandit, Royal Caribbean’s Shekhar Grover, and Celebrity Cruises Agus Gandu Adyana. These four semi-finalists will now face their next showdown in 8 days time (June 12) at the deluxe Diageo Bar 396 in Miami, Florida.
There’s a lot to gain from winning this place in the Global Final and if one of the cruise line bartenders become the Diageo Reserve WORLD CLASS Bartender of the Year, then everything changes for them. Past winners have become industry names and travel as WORLD CLASS Ambassadors.
We will keep our readers updated this month on who wins the place with a chance of becoming Diageo Reserve WORLD CLASS Bartender of the Year. You can also follow the competition right here at facebook.com/WorldClass.
