If you can only spare 7 or 14 days on a cruise, but wish to visit certain countries in the Mediterranean, such as Venice or Dubrovnik, then you will not be able to leave from Southampton because there just isn’t enough time to get there. This is why P&O has Med fly-cruises, and used Ventura for the 2014 season, which has proved rather popular in terms of bookings.
We’ve been looking to go on such a cruise next year, but was unable to because the P&O 2015-2016 cruises had yet to be released. However, just before the weekend the new itineraries were released and there is a major change, Oceana has replaced Ventura.
This will get a mixed reaction because while some people love the larger, newer Ventura, while past Oceana passengers would say that she is a friendly ship because it doesn’t get as busy considering her size.
If you have not seen the new Med fly-cruises for 2015 and 2016, then you can visit the P&O website. You will be able to check out all of the itineraries, and get a basic price, but you are unable to pre-book one of the cruises just yet. However, we are told that you will be able to do so from March 27th, which is this Thursday.
You can also take a look at these fly-cruises to the Mediterranean, along with the complete P&O January 2015 – March 2015 cruises in the latest brochure.
