Within the last week Carnival Cruise Lines announced that it is the national advertiser for NBC’s telecast of the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games, and in doing so also revealed a new TV ad that will run alongside social media marketing and fun online social games.

Fans of cruising and the Olympics can celebrate in a number of ways, which includes a photo competition on Instagram with the Carnival Cruise Lines hashtag #ChampionSHIPS. Those taking part only need to get involved with sharing cruise-themed photos in specific categories on Instagram.

The season for booking cruises has started and Carnival Cruise Lines want to promote what they have on offer during the crucial “wave season”.

You can see the new Carnival Cruise TV commercial below this article that features four young cruisers, as they enter one of the fun waterslides on board. The video is titled “Bobslide”, and you might have seen the TV spot on NBC, MSNBC, CNBC, or the USA Network.

Carnival Cruise Lines will be keeping up the social media promotion and run the TV ad throughout the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games.

Over the coming days fans can engage in fun created by Carnival on their social channels. This will include a series of videos, contests and social posts such as best water slider, best game face, etc. If you happen to be one of the winners in the photo competition, then you can win a Carnival Cruise Lines gift card up to the value of $500.

Keep an eye on Carnival’s various social channels over the next week for more details and fun games, especially their Facebook and YouTube pages. You might want to follow Cruise Ship News on Facebook and Google Plus as well.
