Several days ago, Princess Cruises announced that they were to trial an all-inclusive drinks package just to see how well it will be received by passengers. No doubt this was thought up because of how popular the new Royal Caribbean beverage package is.
This is not a fleet-wide program, as it is limited to just the Star Princess and Sapphire Princess for the time being. However, if it proves successful, then we can imagine Princess Cruises will implement it throughout the fleet.
The price for the Princess Cruises drink package is $49 per day per guest, although you will have to add another 15 per cent onto that figure for gratuities. In with this price are beer, cocktails, spirits, wine and canned nonalcoholic. Tea, Coffee and other such hot beverages are also included in the price.
You can even take advantage of a 40 per cent discount on all bottles of wine that costs less than $100. This new Princess Cruises drink package can be purchased on a 7-night or longer Star Princess or Sapphire Princess cruise.
There is a downside though, as all passengers travelling in the same stateroom must purchase the same drinks package, with children needing the $8.05 per day Unlimited Soda & More package.
