We have the sad news of reporting that esteemed broadcaster Sir David Frost has died at the age of 74 while on board the Queen Elizabeth. He was on the ship to give a lecture, but had felt unwell before he could give the speech and it was found out that he had a heart attack, where he sadly lost his life.
Cunard’s Managing Director Peter Shanks, has paid tribute to the great man helping to celebrate a wonder life and career, and then extended his sympathy to David’s wife, family and friends.
It is obvious his family is devastated and asks for their privacy at this very sad time, although they will announce details of a memorial service, but there will be a private family funeral.
Having a renowned broadcaster such as David Frost was not only a huge honor for Cunard, but also those guests who had paid to see him give a lecture.
However, as with all things Cunard is still a business and has a duty to their customers, and so the Queen Elizabeth still has to continue her voyage to Civitavecchia on a 10-night Mediterranean cruise.
We’d like you to visit CNN, where they have written a lovely article and including a video as a tribute to the late, great Sir David Frost.
