Over the past several weeks we have seen a few cruise ship companies announce new itineraries for some of their ships, one because of an informed decision, and the other because they were forced to because of the unrest in Egypt.
The new Vision of the Seas itinerary for 2014 will see her head to the Caribbean, and is not a result of the troubles in Egypt. The Brilliance of the Seas has been based in the Port of Tampa for her Caribbean itinerary, and she will now be joined by Vision of the Seas next year.
Having two cruise ships based in the Port of Tampa will be a great advantage for the Royal Caribbean throughout 2014-2015. Okay, so we know Vision is an older ship, but she is all set to have a major refurbishment in September ready for the new season ahead.
The Vision of the Seas new 2014 Caribbean itinerary will not begin until November 15, 2014, which does seem a long time to wait, but with people already booking their cruises for next year, it is good they know this well in advance.
She will sail every Saturday from Tampa and then head to the Belize, Cozumel, Costa Maya, Grand Cayman and Roatán. We now wait to see if we will begin to see a few Royal Caribbean 2014 deals to help celebrate two ships leaving from the Port of Tampa next year?
