If you are passionate about food and also love to be on the open sea, then finding a job opportunity on a cruise ship as a chef would be perfect for you. This is just what culinary expert Michael Sabourin did many years ago when he served on Oasis of the Seas and Allure of the Seas.
However, would felt that it was time to move on from the very large Royal Caribbean ships and go for something a little more intimate. He has now been named the new Windstar Cruises corporate executive chef.
There is no denying how daunting of a task it mush have been for Michael Sabourin directing all the culinary for RCI. He does have experience with the smaller cruise ship companies though, as he had worked for Holland America Line, so the transition should be a smooth one.
As a way to get up close and personal with Sabourin following this new posting, Windstar has a Q&A with the Chef, where he will be answering questions on what his personal favorite dish is, why he wanted to become a chef in the first place, and what most excites him about his new position within Windstar Cruises.
