There have been a few new cruise ships for 2013, some of which include the Norwegian Breakaway and the Royal Princess, and we have to say, the reviews on both of these have been rather positive. More is to come next year, as there is expected to be 5 new ships entering service, which shows that the industry is well on its way to recovery.
The new cruise ships launching in 2014 consists of the Norwegian Getaway, Regal Princess, Pearl Mist, Costa Diadema and the Quantum of the Seas. Let’s have a little look at these ships to give you their basic information.
Norwegian Getaway will be the sister ship to the Breakaway and has a capacity of 4,028 passengers. She will enter service in January and become part of the ever-growing Norwegian Cruise Line.
Regal Princess follows on from the Royal Princess and will have a capacity to hold 3,560 passengers. She will enter service in June.
If you enjoy smaller ships, then you will be pleased to know that the Pearl Mist will take her maiden voyage in June of next year and will accommodate 210 passengers. She will form part of the Pearl Seas Cruises fleet.
Back to the larger ships again, and in October 2014, Costa Cruises will take the Costa Diadema on her maiden voyage. She will have a capacity of 3,700 making her the largest Costa cruise ship.
Finally, and the ship that brings us the most excitement is the Quantum of the Seas from the Royal Caribbean. She will hold 4,180 and will enter service in November 2014. This is the first of a new class of ship, and RCI has already got more like her on order.
