Disney cruise ships needed in Southampton, UK

If you were looking at booking a holiday on board Disney Cruise Lines in 2013, or 2014, then you wouldn’t have a problem with the choice of departure ports unless you want to depart from Southampton that is.

Currently you can book to travel on a Disney Cruise ship that departs from Galveston, Los Angeles, Miami, Port Canaveral, San Diego, San Juan, Vancouver in Canada, Venice in Italy and also Barcelona in Spain.

It is true that Disney has sailed before from Dover in the UK, although this is not a regular departure port and looking on the official website shows no departures from Southampton or Dover until the end of 2014. This doesn’t mean we will never see Disney sail from the UK again, but some of our readers have been wondering when a Disney cruise might be possible from Southampton?

If you’re looking for a Mediterranean cruise on board a Disney cruise ship then this is possible via Barcelona, although you will find thousands of cruise goers that don’t want to fly and would rather a Disney cruise leaving Southampton for many reasons including luggage issues with flying.

We would love to hear from our readers about the desire for a Disney cruise departing from Southampton, so leave a comment if this is something you would like to see happen soon? We will be keeping a close eye on any developments that involve Disney and Southampton, which any details will be published on Cruise Ship News and our social channels.

I think they need to do Transatlantic crossings from Southampton

A Trans cruise from Southampton would be great.

I think it would be a great idea and transatlantic cruises are very popular.

A Disney ship ported in the UK would be good, as long as it’s not the Fantasy or the Magic. I want the best of the large and best of the small ships here in the US. :)
