MSC join Italian football with new 8-day packages
Published on March 25th, 2012
Cruising and football may seem an unlikely match, but this is exactly what you will find with cruise company MSC and their two new football themed cruise packages. Teaming up with two big Italian names AC Milan and SSC Napoli, footie fans can enjoy one of two packages, that of the ‘Rossoneri’ cruise purely dedicated to AC Milan fans or the ‘Blue’ cruise for those supporting SSC Napoli.
Celebrating the collaboration between MSC Cruises and Italian football, the MSC Splendida cruise ship will be clad out in red and black colours with the company offering its passengers 8 day/7 night holidays on the Mediterranean from 2nd June 2012 departing from the port of Genoa, Italy.
The Splendida will call at the port of Barcelona in Spain, Tunisia, Malta, with Messina and Rome in Italy. If you’re preference is the Blue cruise this sets sail from 28th May from Naples calling at Palermo in Italy, Tunisia, Barcelona and Marseille in France.
Many of you may be questioning what else you will get for your football themed cruise? Passengers will be able to attend workshops and it doesn’t get any better than spending time with some of the players. Footie fans for both teams can watch previous games as well as playing in their own onboard the ship. For the younger generation travelling on the Splendida, a special Milan Junior Camp will be set up in order to show off their skills.
Whilst onboard the Blue cruise, fans will get to attend an evening of entertainment entitled, ‘A whole blue history, the history of the world’s most beloved club.’ As msccruises.com reported, passengers on both cruises will get to enjoy a trip in Barcelona to the Camp Nou stadium that is well known in the world of Spanish football.
