Cruise ships cancel calls to Grand Cayman

It has been announced that a number of cruise ships have had to cancel there port of call to Grand Cayman due to poor sea conditions. Cruise ships have to anchor in the harbor and tender into port and if the sea conditions are bad then this is not possible.

Currently the port authority of Grand Cayman has closed the port to all cruise ship traffic. This closure is going to affect Carnival Legend, Carnival Valor, Disney Magic, Norwegian Sun and Voyager of the Seas.

Disney Magic will replace its stop in Grand Cayman with a day at sea and it’s said that all cruise passengers will be credited for any port excursions that have been impacted by the change in itinerary. Royal Caribbean’s Voyager of the Seas will also be spending the day at sea.
