Splendour of the Seas adds iPads to all staterooms

Next week Royal Caribbean’s Splendour of the Seas will be coming out of dry dock with 124 additional balconies and stateroom amenities including iPads in every stateroom by February 2012. From 2014 it’s said that Royal Caribbean are going to be upgrading all staterooms in the Vision class with the new technology.

Guests will be able to use the iPads to access the daily Cruise Compass of events and activities, monitor their on-board account, access the internet, order room service and much more. All of these features will be complimentary, except for the Internet access.

It seems that Royal Caribbean are continuing to provide their guests with the up to date technology and not forgetting the ultimate cruise experience.

Do you think that iPads will be a welcomed addition to the royal Caribbean fleet?
