Carnival Magic alters itinerary due to technical problems

It was only the other day that we reported the Debut of Carnival Magic as Maroon 5 welcomed it to the port of Galveston in Texas, before it set sail on a number of itineraries to both the Eastern and Western Caribbean. But today Carnival Magic is currently experiencing a technical problem with one of its stern thrusters and because of this has had to change the ship’s itinerary.

Carnival Magic is currently on a 6-day Mexico cruise. So that the repairs can be made to the ship it will now have to stay overnight in Progreso, Mexico, which means that the ship will be skipping the port call to Costa Maya.

As a way of saying sorry to the passengers on board, Carnival are adding $25 per person to their shipboard accounts. The ship is due to return to Galveston on the 20th November and will then begin year-round Caribbean cruises.
