Cruising can be quite expensive but saying this the cruise experience is amazing from start to finish in most cases. When you book your cruise you have to take into account that included in the cost of the cruise you get all your meals, tea, coffee and juices included. The only other costs you will be paying for if you choose will be the specialty restaurants on board, alcohol drinks, carbonated drinks, shore excursions and shopping on board.
Last minute cruise deals mean that you can save a lot of money, but like any deal they come with pros and cons. The one thing you don’t have control over is where on the boat your room will be. Saying this you might be one of the lucky ones who can upgrade your room once you have boarded the ship for a small fee and this can happen but you will need to register with the customer service desk as soon as you board and they will contact you if an upgrade becomes available.
One of the best times to find last minute cruise on a certain sailing is around 60 to 90 days prior to departure, this is because the cruise line will know exactly how many cabins are left and if there is more space available than the cruise line would like, they will often reduce the cost so that they can sell out the ship.
Another important thing to remember is you must read the offer you have been given very carefully. The reason for this is that you do not want to be given an inside cabin if you are claustrophobic beause this will just make your cruise experience a nightmare.
So as long as you are willing to stay in any room on a cruise ship even if it’s the back or front then getting a last minute deal is a great option. But if you are like me and you need to be mid-ship and have a balcony then last minute deals are not good for you.
