One of the reasons we go on a cruise ship is the quantity of food you can eat, and also the quality you get, so to hear that Norwegian Cruise Line is improving its food caught our attention.
Its been reported that 9 out of 11 Norwegian cruise ships will get the same new menu found on Norwegian Epic, which features “a la carte” prices. The change will be made over the next month and should delight many of Norwegian’s passengers. Have you been on the Epic? How was the food for you?
Not everyone loves sushi, in fact most of my family hate it, but for some of us (me included) it’s really nice and not to mention healthy. Norwegian Cruise Line has had sushi bars on most of its ships, although they have all offered a $15 per person flat fee, apart from the Norwegian Epic.
This is all about to change over the next month, with the other ships about to deliver the a la carte pricing structure, which is said to be up to $5 an item. Other changes included the inclusion of sashimi and better opening times, so that the sushi bar is open on sea days and embarkation.
Update: This article is reporting that the new sushi menu has already rolled out on some cruise ships, which include the Norwegian Spirit, Norwegian Pearl, Norwegian Gem, Norwegian Star, Norwegian Jewel, Norwegian Jade, Norwegian Dawn and Pride of America
