MSC Cruises: Drink packages beat all cruise lines

We looked at cruise ship drink packages a couple of weeks ago, which included our review on a couple of ships we visited in the last year, these included Royal Caribbean and Celebrity.

Our findings showed that the all-inclusive deal was a lot better on Celebrity Eclipse than on Royal Caribbean’s Independence of the Seas, which is strange considering both brands are owned by Royal Caribbean. While we loved what Celebrity offered, it still cost a lot of money over a two week cruise.

Today we wanted to show you a much better deal being offered by MSC Cruises, which has drink packages at stupid prices. The post on the official website shows that an adult can get all drinks up to €7 included for just £1. You read that right, and what’s more is this price is not per day, it is for the whole cruise.

You’ll be able to take advantage of this offer for unlimited drinks on bookings of 2012 Mediterranean cruises. Cruise ships running this deal include the MSC Divina, MSC Sinfonia, MSC Poesia, MSC Orchestra, MSC Armonia, MSC Musica, MSC Magnifica, MSC Splendida and MSC Fantasia. With the deal running on new bookings made from 16 Sept to 31 Oct 2011, you’ll need to act soon.

This is the best deal we’ve seen on a cruise ship so far, and follows on from MSC’s “get second adult for £1 deal”, which shows they are really turning up the heat on the popular Royal Caribbean cruise line, which we hope will see some similar discounts over the next year from competitors.

Some people feel that the price they pay for an all-inclusive cruise should include drinks up to a certain price anyway, do you agree with this?

You can read the full conditions and what is included here. The deal is not family friendly with children having to pay £19 a day for a kids all inclusive drink package, which we feel is a bit bad for families.
