New Cruise Terminal for the 2012 Olympic Games

It looks like London is getting a new cruise terminal just in time for the 2012 Olympic games. The Mayor of London has said to have given his approval and the new terminal will be built at Enderby Wharf in Greenwich, which will be closer to London than the current cruise terminal at Tilbury.

Work on the new terminal is due to start towards the end of the year and all going well should be ready in time for the Olympic games next summer.

The new terminal will help boost tourism in and around London. According to reports only one ship has been confirmed as a floating hotel during the Olympics and will be berthed near the Olympic stadium.

Over the next 4 years the area around the new cruise terminal will be refurbished, this will include new homes and a new hotel and gardens. You can read more on this here.
