Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority has a big responsibility for assisting and managing the development of the tourism industry and also the promotion and marketing of the emirate as a fantastic destination. Now this week it looks like Abu Dhabi’s hard work has paid off by welcoming the maiden arrival of the Ocean Princess at Mina Zayed Port.
The Ocean princess is a 755-passenger ship, and it is the first time that any of the LA based Princess Cruise ships have docked in the emirate. One of the Captain’s on the Ocean Princes Master Stefano Ravera said he was “honoured” to be the captain at the time Ocean Princess made her maiden call in Abu Dhabi.
Princess Cruises have also announced that on the 16th June a 2,272-passenger ship called Dawn Princess will arrive in Abu Dhabi as part of its own voyage. Costa Cruises have also announced that their new ship Costa Favalosia will stop in the emirate this November following its launch on the 2nd July in Trieste, Italy.
