Cruise holidays are finding more takers, say travel agencies

It seems that over the past few years cruising has become very popular amongst all age groups. Cruising was always known as the holiday for the older generation, but with more and more cruise ships catering for families we can all enjoy the experience of waking up in different ports most mornings.

According to a number of travel agents have seen an increase in their clientele looking for cruises this year, with a number of people opting for cruises to the Mediterranean, Caribbean and also Alaska.

CEO of city-based Odyssey Tours and Travels Nikhil Thakurdas, said that there has been an increase of 25% who have choose to cruise this year alone. So could the increase in cruise holidays be down to just paying one price and getting everything including unlimited food and daily entertainment and not to mention different destinations. One thing we do know is that you do get great value for money.

When booking a cruise you can get a number of great discounts including free kids places or discounts when cruising with two other adults. To get these great discounts you normally have to book your cruise 1 year in advance but saying that certain cruise companies do some great last minute deals.
